Mercury Hall is absolutely adorable. im very happy with the location.
the manager is a very friendly woman and easy to work with.

i feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders because the date is actually final.

oh my gosh

after a long weekend with the future in-laws and my brief visits with my mom and grandma and a day with lyn we are finally back in austin..
our cake topper arrived. we are using bride and groon pez dispensers . they are so cute.
we are registered at bed bath and beyond and target.
umm.. we are putting together the final guest list.
and almost all of the details are coming together.

alright well.. off to watch some tv and relax

Ive been looking for the perfect dress. im looking for tea length with tulle. doesnt really matter if its sleeveless or halter or spagetti straps.. all of these dresses are jessica mcclintok

i thought i was going to do the cute cards with the couple with the lampshades on their heads.. then i rethought it and how much that would cost.

so i started thinking about the making my own option
getting them printed at kinko's on relatively thick paper and then buying envelopes from a website online for the sizes i need.
and so far it will save me tons!

i kind of have concept ready for the ones i want to make.. i just need to do a few touch ups and see what kelly thinks about them. he is just estatic that they will be cheaper!!

i made the invites to go along with my theme of greens and kind of mocked another design of a simple card i saw online..

so i dunno , ill ask a few people what they think about them before going thru with them..

Mercury Hall

This is a little building called Mercury Hall is used for weddings and receptions. It's totally cute and right off of south first near me and kelly's first apartment. It holds 200 people and on a friday night is super cheap. not much parking but from the stories i read online about other peoples weddings held there they have a shuttle bus take people from the Ramada not too far from Mercury Hall. So it should work out just fine.

Im thinking having the ceremony outside with a few white paper lantern lamps in the evening around sundown (6ish) and the reception inside it should look awesome. :)

a sort of theme...

im thinking about having colors and schemes going around these kind of colors.. alot of greens especially since its going to be a wedding in September , which is almost fall and not quite summer, alot of leaves incorporated with the theme also, not exactly fall themed but almost

the first post

So we havent got officially engaged yet, but it should be happening by September, so i will have a full year and some odd months to plan for the big day.

On a friday, September 15 2006, im envisioning a pretty laid back wedding, not too formal but not too casual. barbeque as the reception dinner from a local austin bbq joint. either artz rib house , stubb's or rudy's. i will be wearing a tea length dress and he will be wearing nice suit, not a tux or anything. about 150 people, kelly has a huge family. mine isnt so big.

this will be the blog where i post my ideas and get some feedback on the day we get hitched!
